How The Nervous System Craves Security

As a sensitive woman, you feel everything more intensely. Your nervous system craves security to be open and vulnerable.

But truth is...you often feel VULNERABLE.

Self-love is different for sensitive women.

Everything feels LOUDER.

More DEEP.

We're told we should 'love ourselves' and there is an influx of marketing and information on HOW. The thing is, because of the way our bodies are wired loving yourself is a little more nuanced.

The depth that we experience in how we perceive and receive life can make loving yourself tricky.

So many women I have worked with have had to work NOT to resent their body.

Sensitivity feels like a burdon sometimes and many women with sensitive nervous systems also find living in their body tricky. It causes body image issues. Can you relate?

I know I can!

When we have lower self-worth or love for the body we live in it makes loving and accepting others tricky too (hello RESENTMENT).

The less we love ourselves. The worse we are to others. That makes self-love a GENEROUS act for everyone in your life.

What I’m most proud of achieving last year is how much capacity I cultivated to love myself (and therefore others).

I realised even after years of pouring into myself I still had self-worth issues that showed up as:

1. Resentment towards people I loved.

2. Pretending I was fine and not being completely honest (a little white lie never hurt anyone right?).

3. Giving with expectations and then feeling disappointed when I wasn’t met with the same love.

I had to go deeper than the regular self-love guru’s teach.

That’s when my real journey began.

WHAT I KNOW TO BE TRUE NOW:

Love is a kind of energy. It is electricity and voltage we bring through the body and FEEL.

♡ So, if the body is not on board -- self-love is REALLY challenging.

If the body is not on board -- self-love is just an IDEA.

If the body is not on board -- it will block you from receiving love too.

The key is the body.
