To my Women and their bodies,

Thank you for landing on this blog. We're going to start with the good stuff -- triggers and self sabotage.

There is a reason highly sensitives self sabotage,
procrastinate,
isolate,
repeat shitty behaviours or repeat similar relationships which turn out the same.

It has everything to do with your parts, your body and the way you learned to relate to emotional charges.

See, you have these parts of you that observe what you’ve been through and adapt to cope:
Absentee parents
(hello me!), impossibly high standards (mmph also me),
households rife with anxiety, fear or addictions.

Our upbringing creates emotional triggers.

Triggers create parts of your psyche formed to protect your physical body.

When we try to fix parts of us that have addictions, shame, anger, anxious or avoidant reactions (etc etc. basically parts we don’t like) then we disrupt the system.

This can cause those tendencies to magnify.

Anxiety gets worse, triggers get more unpredictable, eating disorders or other addictions just don’t budge. When you have a fix it mentality it also shows up as lethargy and stiffness in the body.

To actually make change you need to WORK WITH these parts.

Their adaptations are important strategies that helped you function. Once acknowledged then you can release the outdated way these parts are protecting us.

Then you live as a lighter and a more regulated human being.

Step one is working with the blocks in our mind/energy.

Step two is meeting the part that opposes our body's wisdom.

These writings are all intellectual right now. It's in the experiencing that the healing happens. Especially in this information rich society.

It’s no secret I work with highly sensitives who are healing the relationship to their body.

Healing trauma is essentially completing incomplete experiences.

That takes timing which is individual to your experience. So feel free to pause the recording if need more time to feel or focus.

Once you become familiar with it you might be able to drop in deeper. So I recommend you repeat it. Let me know how you went.

I know this takes effort but you’re worth it.

We can go years and decades holding weight that we can process and learn from in a fraction of that time.

Trust in your abilities to heal, you are important and worth your own time and energy.
